Shorey’s Raspberry Cake

A good all-butter pound cake sliced lengthwise, coated with seedless raspberry jam, reassembled, and finished with ground cake trimmings makes a simple and delicious birthday cake served with sour cream on top.

Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients

  • 1 all-butter pound cake (1 pound)
  • ⅔ cup seedless raspberry jam
  • ¾ to l cup sour cream
