Cheese Sticks

Puff pastry sticks rubbed with melted butter and coated with Parmesan cheese, paprika, and cayenne are baked until dark brown and are excellent served with soup or with cheese as an unusual addition to your bread basket.

Makes about 20 sticks

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (about 8 ounces; ½ package)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
