This is the fourth event in a cross-country series taking place throughout 2024 and celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Julia Child Award in past recipients’ hometowns. Jacques Pépin was the first recipient of the Julia Child Award in 2015 and the dinner is being held in his hometown of Madison, CT. The series will raise critical funds for the Smithsonian Food History Project at the National Museum of American History.

The event will be held on June 1 at 6pm at the Madison Beach Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton and will feature a three-course “Jacques Pépin-inspired” menu and a special cocktail hour featuring signature libations from The Port of Call. Winemaker Roman Roth of Wolffer Estate Vineyard will provide commentary and wine pairings for the celebration. JPF Board Member Brian Maynard will serve as emcee and JPF Board Member Michel Nischan will be a special guest.

The deadline to buy tickets is May 27th, 2024. Net proceeds from the event support the ongoing care and preservation of Julia Child’s kitchen and benefit the Smithsonian Food History Project at the National Museum of American History in Washington D.C.
