All month long, we’ve been celebrating Jacques-tober on YouTube with extra Happy Cooking!
We shared a replay of a virtual Halloween candy tasting hosted by pastry chefs Paola Velez and Jacques Torres, because who doesn’t love and chocolate knowledge served with a giant spider showpiece?
We debuted our first YouTube Course designed to teach viewers various techniques and recipes for making omelets in our Egg-stravanga! When you complete the full course of 8 videos—a total of about 45 minutes—you get a little badge on your YouTube account, and a whole lot of egg-stra skills!
We introduced more trusted chef instructors with new faces on our channel. There were recipes from culinary luminaries like José Andrés and Eric Ripert; expertise in food science in a QuickBite with Rollie Wesen, our Executive Director; and, a JPF Community Kitchen Partner shared a frittata recipe from Lysa Grate at FeedNC.
Plus, we hit 2M views on Jacques’ Standard Omelet vs. French Omelet recipe video, meaning a whole lot of folks are getting their omelet education from the JPF.
Jacques-tober is coming to an end—order the shirt before November 1!—but, culinary education is here to stay.
You can keep the Jacques-tober spirit alive all year long with a new YouTube Course launching the first Monday of every month. We’ll debut our next course on November 2, featuring mushrooms just in time for you to plan meatless holiday main dishes. Different themes and educational goals for each course will help you diversify your culinary repertoire and keep you feeling cool, calm, and confident in the kitchen.
Happy Jacques-tober to all, and to all a good bite!
