Our 9th Anniversary Celebration on April 9th will be here before we know it, and we are thrilled to announce our featured speaker for the evening’s program: Maddrey Goode, Executive Director of New England Culinary Arts Training (NECAT). After first being awarded with a JPF Principal Grant in 2018, the Boston-based organization was awarded our first-ever Partnership Circle Grant Award in 2023. NECAT received $50,000 over two consecutive years to support their mission of empowering adults facing barriers to employment through training in culinary skills, social-emotional development, and career-readiness for long-term financial stability.
Maddrey and the team at NECAT have used their Partnership Circle Grant to add a new baking component to their curriculum, and an exciting social enterprise to provide employment experience for participants. With the multi-year funding of the Partnership Circle Grant, both the JPF and NECAT have enjoyed a deeper level of collaboration over the past two years as we continue the work that connects cooking, opportunity, and purpose.
We are looking forward to hearing Maddrey’s inspirational presentation as we gather once again with our remarkable community. We hope to see you there on April 9th!
