As part of our nationwide 90/90 Celebration Campaign, the Jacques Pépin Foundation is excited to present a series of virtual events featuring Jacques’ culinary friends! These interactive online events are designed to celebrate Jacques’ legacy while spreading culinary education and raising funds for the JPF’s mission.
The first in our series of virtual celebrations will be a frightfully fun Halloween Chocolatier Chat with star pastry chefs Jacques Torres and Paola Velez. Join Jacques and Paola on Monday, October 21 as they chat about chocolatier life, taste the most popular Halloween candies, and share what mentorship means to them. This 60-minute virtual event is perfect for families who want to learn about chocolate together – and have a little fun, too! More details and tickets can be found here.
After the spooky and sweet fun is done, join us again on November 12 for a Cozy Cook-Along with celebrated food expert, TV host, and author Gail Simmons. Join Gail in her home kitchen as she prepares a cozy menu of elegant comfort foods inspired by Jacques’ joie de vivre. Recipes will be sent to registered attendees in advance, so you can cook along with Gail or prepare the dishes later. You’ll learn a few new techniques, and discover Gail’s personal connection to the JPF’s work in culinary education. All the details and tickets can be found here.
The JPF’s virtual celebrations are recorded and available to registered participants after the day after the live event, so don’t despair if your calendar is already full! We hope that as many people as possible will get to be part of the 90/90 Celebration, and these virtual events are a big part of how we hope to make it happen. Most importantly, all of the proceeds from these virtual events will go towards the Jacques Pépin Foundation’s mission to enrich lives and strengthen communities through the power of culinary education.
