- Foodlink, Rochester, NY
- Emma’s Torch, Brooklyn, NY and Washington, DC
We are honored to partner with these community-based culinary training programs, and excited to see how far their graduates will go!
“We are deeply honored to receive this wonderful grant. With the support of the Jacques Pépin Foundation we will be able to better support the newest members of our community as they begin careers in the culinary industry. The generosity of JPF sends a clear message of encouragement to each of our students as they work towards their goals in the kitchen and beyond.” – Kerry Brodie, Founder and CEO of Emma’s Torch
Thank you to the 66 JPF friends that volunteered to be a part of our 2023 Grants Review Committee. We are grateful to these volunteers for the time they spent reading and providing feedback on the over 60 grant proposals we received in 2023 — our fifth and (and largest!) year of the JPF Grants Program.

New England Culinary Arts Training (NECAT) in Boston, MA is the recipient of our first Partnership Circle Grant Award. This $50,000 grant, dispersed over two consecutive years, will support NECAT’s core mission in culinary training. By helping NECAT add a new baking component to the curriculum and an exciting social enterprise to provide employment experience for participants, the Partnership Circle Grant allows for a deeper level of support and collaboration between NECAT and the JPF.
“JPF has been an important part of the evolution of NECAT’s culinary arts job training program over the last ten years and we’re honored to be the first recipient of the Partnership Circle Grant. We look forward to working together to develop a baking program curriculum that will make our graduates more marketable in the workforce and serve as a model for other culinary training programs.” – J-D Garcia, Executive Director of NECAT
We are thrilled and honored to be a part of NECAT’s growth over the next two years. Congratulations to all of the 2023 awardees!
