From coast to coast, 90/90 Home Celebrations have brought people together — and with them, countless stories of how Jacques Pépin and the JPF have touched lives. For Terry in Gaithersburg, MD, one of these celebrations became a way to connect his love of entertaining with a mission he deeply believes in. Here is what Terry told us about his celebration:
“I had originally planned to host a fundraiser for the JPF, and when I saw the 90/90 Home Celebrations, it gave me a chance to connect what I already loved to do—hosting friends and family—with something bigger. I support the JPF because of its guiding principle: we are all equal before the stove. The stove doesn’t care who you were or what struggles you carry. It cares only that you show up and put in the work. The JPF’s programs reach people who are homeless, battling addiction, or coming home from incarceration. I have been homeless. I have been in jail. I had issues with drugs and alcohol. I found a way back, and now it’s time to help others. Now, once a year, I will invite my friends to support the JPF. It’s the start of a tradition—turning something I enjoy into a way to advance a mission that truly matters.”
Terry’s celebration is just one of hundreds across the country where people have come together to support our mission. Each gathering tells a story of lives touched, skills gained, and opportunities created. By hosting a 90/90 Home Celebration, you can help extend that impact and be part of a mission that changes lives.
