On December 5th, the Jacques Pépin Foundation celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Culinary Arts Certificate program at Boston University, which was created by Jacques, Julia Child and Rebecca Alssid. The event was an extraordinary outpouring of love and support for JP, and the program, and culinary arts. Chef host Jeremy Sewall (Row 34, Island Creek Oysters) helped attract and organize many of the most talented chefs in Boston, as well as lead visiting chefs Stephanie Izard, Renee Erickson, and Justin Walker. The sensational gala grossed $200K which will support a renovation effort of the teaching kitchen and demonstration classroom at BU.

We are so grateful to all the chefs, sponsors, students and volunteers for their efforts to make this event a resounding success. And wish the BU program many more years of inspiring students through culinary arts.
