An aspiring filmmaker from youth, Byron W. Thompson earned degrees in film and television from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Southern California. He has worn many hats during his professional career (Writer, Producer, Director, Post Production Executive) but shifted his focus to Editor in 2004 with the Jean-Michel Cousteau: Ocean Adventures series. Byron began working with Producer Tina Salter in 2012, and their many collaborations include Check, Please! Bay Area, Jacques Pépin: Heart and Soul, Taste This, and Celebrity Chefs. His documentary works include Céline Cousteau’s Tribes on the Edge, Artbound: State of Creativity, Heath Ceramics: The Making of a California Classic, and Nat Bates for Mayor. He currently resides the in the Boston area.
