Carolyn Crow
Marketing Communications Manager
Carolyn is a food lover with over 20 years of experience in hospitality and events. A graduate of the University of Maryland and the Culinary Institute of America, Carolyn spent over a decade as a pastry chef and chocolatier in the D.C. area before leaving professional kitchens. She has worked to support other chefs through marketing and events at a gourmet pastry distributor, a beloved local restaurant group, and a municipal regional events team. Carolyn now most enjoys spreading her passion for food by teaching baking classes and hosting an ice cream review podcast with her hungry husband. She lives outside of Washington, D.C. with her family and their absolutely gorgeous dog.

I hosted a summer potluck for family and friends with the theme Birds & Berets. Everybody brought a poultry or egg dish, and we dressed up in our most French or most fabulous summertime attire. I made Duck Confit Crostini, Jacques’ Salad Lyonnaise, and Baked Alaska with Toasted Marshmallow, and my guests filled out the menu with quiche and lots of chicken! We toasted to Jacques by sabering a bottle of bubbly on our patio.
Just like Jacques (and Carolyn), you can make your gathering feel effortless and welcoming. Whether it's an intimate dinner for four or a lively kitchen full of friends, your celebration will directly support the Jacques Pépin Foundation's mission to provide hands-on culinary training and career development for people embracing a new chapter in their lives.
