On February 1, 2022, a group of JPF Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine Members attended our first Coffee with the Executive Director, a Zoom conversation with Rollie Wesen that provided attendees with a preview of the content of our 2021 Annual Report, due to release on our website at the end of this month.
The event touched upon the past three years of the JPF’s granting program (over 35 organizations funded nationwide to date) and our inaugural year of JPF Membership, offering full access for members to the award-winning Video Recipe Book (150 recipes and growing). We shared details about the JPF’s partnerships with Rouxbe (online culinary school), OXO, Cuisinart, and our support for the growing Catalyst Kitchens Network. Finally, we spoke together about JPF virtual events and initiatives that were held in 2021 and plans that are in the works for an exciting 2022.
Coffee with the Executive Director offered our team the opportunity to share more about what we do at the Foundation to advance Jacques’ love of culinary education as we all work to support the teaching of culinary skills through various channels to many different communities. It gave supporters the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about specific initiatives, and suggest additional ways we can work together to continue the important work of enriching lives and strengthening communities through the power of culinary education.
